Tammy worked all weekend, but got off a little early this Sunday and we decided to take Anna on a hike. I was looking for somewhere close with potential to make a few casts and had been wanting to check out Lower Bell’s Canyon Reservoir so we went for it. Got there around 6:30 pm or so and temps were perfect for evening hike. Fair number of people around, but many leaving. Hike up was nice and the reservoir was beautiful with the alpenglow reflecting on the high peaks of the wasatch. I hadn’t realized how pretty this reservoir was and since it is set in a depression, you can’t tell at all there is a city right below you. There were a few fish rising to Callibaetis spinners and we set up on some rocks along the bank. I hooked a few and lost them and we played with Anna and took some pics. It was a pleasant evening. We hung out until 7:45 or so and headed back. Nice evening hike with the family.
