We rented a small motor boat and cruised the coast-line of the Cinque Terre today. What a blast!!! The first thing Kory wanted to do (of course) was cruise over to an area where birds were excitedly diving and swirling around above the ocean. A blitz! We could see the fish blitzing 30 feet in front of our boat. Kory was crushed — he had left his fly-rod on the train from Rome. It was still very cool to see and we had an awesome time. We drove over to a waterfall that is between two of the Cinque Terre villages and anchored our boat before we dived in for a very nice swim. After frolicking in the water and cooling off, we drank some wine and had some biscotti on the boat. For dinner, we had a local Cinque Terre dish of ravioli in walnut sauce. It was delicious and I have permanently fallen in love with the Cinque Terre.
