We rented a car today and Kory instantly set his sights on getting to the top of the island. We came close to the top, but nearly destroyed the rental car in the process. It was a fun little mini-adventure. Korcula is a gorgeous island. I’m very surprised that more people don’t go to Croatia. The island is just as beautiful, if not more so, than any we visited in Greece but has far fewer people. After our little drive, we went back to our room and spent some time in the water. Kory took the kayak out and did some snorkeling. He got some great shots of a sea anemone. I floated around in the crystal clear water on a little inflatable raft. Floating around in the cool water was very relaxing. I was astonished by how clear and clean the water is. I watched as several different types of fish swam by me in little schools. At sundown we ventured into the main town of Korcula to check it out. We climbed to the top of a tower for some cocktails. It was a perfectly relaxing day.
