We woke up bright and early and at 6:30 am, Dejan picked us up at our hotel and drove us 1.5 hours to the Podgorica airport. The Podgorica airport is very small and very easy to get around. The check in process was quick, stream-lined and relatively stress free. We boarded Montenegro Airlines for our direct light to Paris. Once in Paris, we took a taxi to the Hotel Ares, which is very near the Eiffel Tower. We had some lunch and then wandered over to look at the Eiffel Tower. During my three other visits to the City of Lights, I have spent a lot of time staring at the Eiffel Tower but it never ceases to impress. It is truly magnificent! I was excited to see it and we took several pictures.
That night we went on a dinner cruise down the Seine River. This is something that I really wanted to do on this trip and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kory and I lucked out with probably the second best table on the boat. We were greeted with appetizers and a bottle of champagne. The four course dinner and cruise took about 2.5 hours. From the boat, we had fantastic views of the Eiffel Tower, Paris’s statute of liberty, Notre Dame, the famous bridges over the Seine, and many other sites. I loved it!
