We woke up to our last morning in Istanbul. We spent a few hours shopping before getting on the cruise ship. I had a little shopping accident at a fancy boutique store that resulted in three dresses and a new top. 🙂 I could barely contain my excitement when it was time to board the ship. Boarding the SeaDream 1 was extremely simple and stream-lined. We were greeted with champagne and welcome cocktails. It was very pleasant. The view of Istanbul as our ship pulled away from the harbor was amazing with the minarets of the mosques towering over the city. It was very fitting that a prayer call sang out from the city as we left Istanbul. What an exotic and beautiful city. We had a nice time on our first evening on the ship. We had heard how fantastic the food on board was and we were not disappointed. Ah, life is good!
